About

I am a research scientist at the CUNY Remote Sensing Earth Systems (CREST) Institute and social science coordinator for the NOAA Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Technologies (CESSRST). I received my PhD in Earth and Environmental Sciences (Geography Concentration) from the CUNY Graduate Center.

I am broadly interested in the intersection between climate governance, socio-economic vulnerability and uneven development. I study these relations across urban coasts in the Caribbean and the United States.

I use mixed-methods including GIS, ethnography, and critical discourse analysis.

My work has been featured in Global Environmental Change, Climate Risk Management, Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Science and Policy, and Annual Review of Public Health.
